Mexico

Mexico has nearly endless vacation options. From enjoying the sunny beaches, or dipping in a hotel pool, to participating in the myriad of thrilling activities and sightseeing.
Featuring locations such as Acapulco, Cozumel, Mexico City, Chichen Itza, Tijuana, and a host of other popular cities, Mexico truly can be the perfect place to get away and relax. Some areas, such as Tijuana, are literally moments away from the US border and can be a great place to visit for just the day. Although spots like Acapulco are a longer trip, and will require that you fly to Mexico or take a cruise, they are certainly worth the extra travel time. Checking your plans with a travel agent are often a great way to decide where to go in Mexico and what to do once you get there.

One of the best reasons to travel Mexico is the endless stretch of gorgeous, white sand beaches along most of the coastline. Mexico vacations are generally enjoyed on the coast, which offers a complete array of activities; including scuba diving, tours, fishing, cruises, surfing or of course simply laying back with a book and cooled beverage.

Where the Caribbean Sea meets the Yucatan Peninsula, coral reefs come alive. Sea creatures of all sizes and colors live here. The Pacific coast attracts elephant seals and spectacular gray whales; they choose Mexico to bread and give birth, year after year.
The history of Mexico is rich and quite extensive. Early civilizations, including well-known people such as the Mayas and Aztecs, populated what is now Mexico as early as 900 AD. Lesser-known civilizations were also widespread throughout the area, including Teotihuacan, Toltec, Olmec were said to have been in Mexico as early as 1500 BC and others.

The biggest mass of life in whole of Mexico, is of course its capital, Mexico City, where 20 million people squeeze in together (a fifth of the whole population of Mexico).

From May to October it is humid and hot, especially between July and September the southern parts of Mexico can be unbearable unless you only want to be on the beach. From October to May it is dry and warm without being too hot.
